Time to put my money where my mouth is! Can the Asus G14 convince me that it’s a great laptop? Let’s find out!
Once we address the thermals, the rest of the laptop starts to look really good.
1) I’d like to see AUO, LG, Chi Mei, or Sharp offer a 14″ High-Refresh display under 9ms for this machines second revision should one occur.
2) Furthermore, Asus, please consider updating your Armoury Crate Software with an option to utilize Ryzen 4k with its Boost Clocks disabled. Without this solution, this laptop would be a strong NO.
3) Correct the poor keyboard LED back-lighting too!
4) Fix the Screen Flickering. I know it’s not a hardware issue because it’s reported everywhere and it’s been improved upon with BIOS updates. It’ll do this still while connected to an external display too. I have a hunch I know what it is so if this can be tightened up, that would be great!
