Are you bored with the default purple background of Ubuntu login screen?. Here’s how you can change gdm background with your custom image / photo / picture / wallpaper with simple GUI application.

To be honest, gdm3 is not my favorite display manager. I like the minimalistic design, but with just a solid purple color, it’s kinda boring for me.

I create this video because vanilla Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Focal Fossa – which uses GNOME 3.36 and Ubuntu 20.10 – which uses GNOME 3.38 as its default desktop environment doesn’t let you to customize it, well, at least out of the box.
