Let’s show you how to connect an external monitor to your MacBook laptop or Mac Desktop.

In this video, I walk you through the steps to connect an external monitor to your Map computer. Depending on the type of monitor you are using you might need an adapter or a different cable. Once you plug the external monitor into your Mac you should immediately see your desktop on that monitor. Now you can fine-tune the display by clicking on the Apple icon to the top left, then click on System Preferences, and then on Display. Here you will see two monitors, the original one and the external one that you have connected. Now you can click and drag the screens to mimic how you want them arranged. This allows you to move your mouse from one monitor to the other correctly.

Next click on Display Settings at the bottom of the page. Now you will see Display Settings for both Monitors. You can choose Use As Dropdown and choose “Extend” or “Mirror”. If you choose Extend then the second monitor…
