In today’s video, I will talk about the current status of the iOS 14.4 to iOS 15 jailbreak, especially as it pertains to the A12+ devices (iPhone X and Newer), but not only. iOS 15 introduces major changes to the landscape, and with iOS 14.8 finally unsigned, we will have to adapt to the new way of jailbreaking: rootless jailbreaks. In the video, I will explain how a Rootless jailbreak works and what our strategy will be for iOS 15.
iOS 15 introduces the concept of sealed ROOT FS which makes the device impossible to boot if even the smallest modification is detected, which will require restoring. This makes traditional jailbreaks like Unc0ver, Taurine, and even CheckRa1n to not work in their current state on iOS 15 even if a Kernel vuln is released. This will require major changes in the jailbreak code and structure but it’s manageable.
