My 1-year-old 2019 Macbook 16” has overheating issues and is constantly throttled below 2GHz running heavy-duty tasks. I replaced the original thermal paste on CPU/GPU and applied liquid metal for better performance.
I have added thermal pads on VRM modules and cleaned the dusts inside the mac as well. The overall performance improvement is 16% and 15 – 20 degrees drop when CPU idle.
