If you have the latest iOS version (16.4.1), here’s how you can lock apps on your iPhone: using the Shortcuts app, you can create personal automation that will lock apps. Essentially, it sends the app to the lock screen when opened, and to access the app, you will need either Face ID or the passcode.

If you don’t have the Shortcuts app on your iPhone, you can simply download it from the App Store, as it is an app developed by Apple itself. Please note that you must be on the latest version of iOS for this to work. When we had an older version of iOS (16.3), it didn’t have the lock screen option in the Shortcuts app. Regardless, with this simple method, you can lock your iPhone apps and ensure their security.
