As you guys flamed me for – the previous test was NOT ACCURATE comparison. I did not use Cycles for GPU Compute — so this test will do that. (Also I just figured out Optix — so I will post that in the comments)
FAQS:
Q: Why was the previous test so fast on M1 Max?
Ans: Yesterdays tests were EEVEE — which was a CPU to CPU comparison
Not in video – but EEVEE on the Native was 27 seconds… compared to ~ 30 from yesterday on Rosetta
Q: These tests use GPU’s?
Ans: Only for Windows — so not a FAIR test, but 3.1 will allow GPU support on MacOS
Q: Are you noob? Do Optix
Ans: Yes I am. The Optix benchmarks for the Fox was … I’ve literally waited 10 mins and it still hasn’t rendered – say loading render kernel? — For now optix benchmarks have to wait.
