RPCS3 | The Last of Us – Patches, CPUs, Resolutions and Settings Tested

If you want to skip to a specific part of the video, here are the timestamps:

00 – patch.yml compared with Illusion’s and Zero’s patches
19 – A simulated CPU comparison. Ryzen 1700, 1600 and 1400 were tested as they all provide different core and thread counts.
10 – A resolution scale test. I chose four different resolutions. 360p to eliminate any possible gpu bottleneck, 720p, 1080p and 1440p. I chose to not include 4k as the performance hit was too much.
49 – A spu block size test. I only included safe and mega in the video as giga wouldn’t cooperate.
21 – A multithreaded rsx test.
04 – A relaxed zcull sync test. In order for it to work, I had to increase the driver wake-up delay.
06 – A driver wake-up delay test. 0us, 50us and 100us. Anything over 100us is pointless as you will not experience any crashes at 100us.
14 – Preferred SPU threads test. This one needs a bit more testing.
27 – SPU loop detection test.
