Your M1 MacBook Pro needs a subwoofer. Seriously audiophile sound from a laptop!

The built-in M1 MacBook Pro 16″ and 14″ laptops have surprisingly good speakers but they are a million times better with real bass so I added a Minirig 3 subwoofer to my Mac and dang, this sounds good. In this video I show you how to DIY this for yourself and save the hassle and clutter of external speakers or monitors. I walk through how to play an external subwoofer with the internal speakers at the same time with the Audio MIDI Setup app, and how to take things further by using Soundsource 5 to add EQ and make the hardware buttons control the sound.
